No one should have to choose between managing their period and doing what they love. That\u2019s why we\u2019re proud to partner with Bloomsbury Football <\/strong>to ensure that young female players have free access to period products at every training session.<\/p>\n

Bloomsbury Football is committed to making football accessible to all. Across the UK, one in four young people have struggled to afford period products<\/strong>, leading many to miss school, sports, and social activities. Period poverty simply cannot be ignored.<\/p>\n

In football, where girls already face participation gaps, the lack of access to period products can be another hurdle that keeps them off the pitch. By providing Roll Up Kit Bags filled with Hey Girls disposable pads and tampons, Bloomsbury Football are helping to tackle this barrier. These kits are freely available at training sessions, ensuring that periods never stop young players from enjoying the game.<\/p>\n

Since launching this initiative, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Players, parents, and coaches have expressed their appreciation for the support, and having period products on hand has helped to normalise conversations about menstruation in sport.<\/p>\n

The goal now is to integrate these kits into every coach\u2019s equipment stock take, making them as essential as footballs and bibs. With results like these from Youth Sport Trust, showing \u2018having my period\u2019 as the number one barrier to being active (49%),<\/strong> you can understand why the demand for innovative solutions is there.<\/p>\n

Bloomsbury Football\u2019s commitment to inclusivity aligns with our mission at Hey Girls: to make period products accessible, reduce stigma, and create a more supportive environment for young people. Bloomsbury Football has already purchased and distributed 20 Roll Up Kit Bags to their teams in London, and we are excited to see this initiative grow.
